A two-volume edition edited by the Neapolitan presbyter, man of letters and philologist Salvatore Aula (1718-1782), member of the Accademia Ercolanese instituted in Naples by Charles III of Bourbon and member of the Royal Academy of Sciences and Fine Arts. The work is a meticulous encyclopaedic epitome on ancient Rome, enriched with valuable engraved plates.
